Dineen Vineyards

Our Wines

While primarily focused on growing high quality fruit for select winemakers, Dineen Vineyards does produce a very limited quantity of estate grown and bottled wine under our own label.

First released in 2006 under the Dineen Family Vineyards label, our wine is hand crafted by notable winemaker Scott Greer of Sheridan Vineyard.

  • 2012 Viognier $18.00 a bottle 1-5 / $16.00 a bottle 6+
Notes: Our Viognier is a pale golden-yellow wine with medium body. The bouquet mingles floral notes with apricot.  In the mouth, pear and citrusy lemon flavors keep the wine lively, clean and refreshing with a long finish.  Vinified and aged in stainless steel, this wine pairs well with Southeast Asian cuisines and dishes with bright and fruity flavors such as mango salsa served alongside grilled chicken or halibut.
  • 2012 Rosé: $16.00 a bottle 1-5 / 140.00 a bottle 6+
    Notes:
    Awaiting tasting notes
  • 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon: $33.00 a bottle 1-5 / $30.00 a bottle 6+

Notes: We think that you will agree that this wine is deep, dark and delicious! Crafted by Sheridan's Scott Greer, the wine is concentrated and an opaque deep maroon red to the edge of the glass. The wine offers up a bouquet of cassis, dark plum and mocha. Citrus peel, coriander, vanilla and flint characterize the mid-palate. The finish goes on and on. This is an elegant wine!!

Aged for thirty months in both new and once used Taransaud French barrels, this wine was bottled un- fined and unfiltered. Absolutely, delicious with grilled lamb chops rubbed with Herbes de Provence!

  • 2010 Syrah: $30.00 a bottle 1-5 / $27.00 a bottle 6+

Notes: Dineen Vineyards-grown Syrah has been on wine-lovers’ radar ever since O-S Winery’s 2006 Dineen Vineyard designated Syrah was selected as one of Washington’s top 100 wines in 2009 by the Seattle Times’ wine columnist, Paul Gregutt.

Our Dineen Vineyards Syrah is a deep, almost black red with a vibrant cerise rim. Wafting from the glass are aromas of black cherries wrapped up in dark chocolate and touched by a subtle note of vanilla. On the mid-palate, orange peel and fennel emerge to be followed by smoke and white pepper on the long finish.

Our lush, 100% Syrah will leave you wanting one more glass! Match with pulled pork barbeque for a memorable meal.

  • 2009/2010 Heritage Red: $30.00 a bottle 1-5 / $27.00 a bottle 6+

Notes: This is the fourth and fifth vintage of our popular Bordeaux-style blend. The percentages may differ from vintage to vintage, but the result is always the same – yummy and reflecting the care that we take in the vineyard to produce wines of depth and character, while being expressive of the unique qualities that reflect our hilltop terroir.

Again, the wine was hand-crafted by Scott Greer of Sheridan Vineyard. The blend is made up of all 5 Bordelais varietals. The core structure comes from 32% Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc, that adds wonderful floral anecdotes to the blend, makes up another 32%. Merlot, at 29%, adds roundness and tames the tannins to mouth-coating silkiness. The remaining 7% of the blend, Malbec and Petit Verdot, add punch and color to the mix.

In the glass, the wine is an intense, dark purple-red with a slightly lighter rim. Plum, violets and licorice characterize the bouquet. In the mouth, flavors of dark fruit, sweet woodruff, kumquat and wet stones add their dimension to the overall perception of this elegant wine. The finish is long and lush.

Aged in both new and 1-year-old French Taransaud barrels, this wine is approachable now but will certainly gain greater finesse and complexity for at least 10 years.
